Das Werk 1/35 Brückenlegepanzer M48A2 AVLB Plastic Model Kit

The Brückenlegepanzer M48 was a West German armoured vehicle designed for the rapid laying of scissors bridges during the Cold War. The vehicle's hull length was 8.19 m, its width was 3.66 m and its height was 3.05 m (with the bridge: approx. 4.05 m). It was powered by a single 12-cylinder Continental AV-1790-5B engine with a power of up to 821 hp, which allowed it to reach a speed of around 52 km/h on the road. The vehicle had no armament.

This model kit from Das Werk reproduces the M48A2 AVLB operated by the German Army, and includes a track belt of soft material. The bridge can be built either stored or deployed; decals for five versions are included (four from the German Army, one for the Belgian Army).
