The E-flite Habu SS 50mm EDF Jet BNF Basic Version 2 is the latest evolution of one of the most popular electric ducted fan (EDF) sport jets ever designed. Based on the legendary Habu platform, this compact version delivers exciting jet performance while remaining one of the easiest EDF aircraft to fly for pilots progressing from trainer aircraft.

Version 2 introduces a stronger and stiffer airframe, an enlarged functional rudder, improved internal structure and a powerful brushless power system capable of operating on both 3S and 4S LiPo batteries. Combined with exclusive Spektrum technologies including AS3X+, SAFE Select, Smart Telemetry and Smart Transmitter File (STF), the Habu SS provides an outstanding flying experience for intermediate and experienced pilots.

The lightweight yet durable composite-reinforced EPO airframe has been carefully optimised to improve slow-speed handling while maintaining excellent high-speed performance. Unlike many EDF jets, the Habu SS offers forgiving flight characteristics, making it an excellent next step after mastering a trainer aircraft.

Power is supplied by a factory-installed 50mm 12-blade EDF unit, driven by a high-performance 2628-4000Kv brushless motor and controlled by a Spektrum Avian 30A Smart Lite ESC. Compatible with popular 1300–2200mAh 3S and 4S LiPo batteries, pilots can tailor the aircraft for longer flight times or maximum speed and vertical performance.

The factory-installed Spektrum AR631+ receiver provides enhanced AS3X+ stabilisation, optional SAFE Select flight envelope protection and real-time Smart telemetry including battery voltage, motor RPM, current draw and more when used with compatible Spektrum transmitters.

The Habu SS can be flown with the supplied tricycle landing gear fitted for conventional take-offs and landings from paved, dirt or short grass runways, or with the landing gear removed for easy hand launches and belly landings.

Supplied as a Bind-N-Fly Basic model, the Habu SS arrives with the motor, EDF unit, ESC, receiver and servos factory installed. Simply bind a compatible Spektrum DSMX/DSM2 transmitter, install a suitable flight battery and you'll be ready to fly in less than an hour.
