Description
The HPI Racing Stage-D24 2024 Toyota GR Supra 1/24 RWD Drift RTR – Metallic Dawn Blue brings genuine rear-wheel-drive RC drifting into an incredibly compact package. Designed from the ground up as a dedicated 1/24 scale RWD drift platform, the Stage-D24 combines huge steering angles, adjustable chassis geometry, an integrated gyro and an officially licensed Toyota GR Supra hardbody.
This isn't simply a small RC car fitted with drift tyres. The Stage-D24 chassis has been developed specifically around rear-wheel-drive drifting, with a rear-mounted 3-gear transmission, spool differential, independent front suspension and T-bar rear suspension working together to provide the control required to initiate, hold and transition drifts.
Sitting on top of the Stage-D24 chassis is a highly detailed, officially licensed 2024 Toyota GR Supra finished in Metallic Dawn Blue.
Rather than using a conventional lightweight polycarbonate shell, HPI has created a detailed 16-piece hardbody featuring clear windows, separate light buckets and dedicated chassis mounting components. The result is an impressively realistic miniature Supra designed to look as good on display as it does sliding around a drift track.
Additional chrome drift decal sheets are included, allowing you to keep the Supra looking factory fresh or customise it with a more aggressive drift-inspired appearance.
The Stage-D24 eliminates traditional body posts with a clean magnetic body mounting system.
Simply locate the body onto the rear body tongue and lower it onto the chassis. The magnetic system securely positions the shell while keeping the exterior free from protruding body posts.
This also makes removing and refitting the body quick and easy.
Integrated front headlights and rear LED tail lights add another level of scale realism to the Toyota GR Supra.
Lighting is controlled directly from the included TF-805 transmitter, with selectable On, Off and Daylight Running modes. You can change the lighting setup without having to stop and adjust the vehicle manually.
Serious RWD drifting requires serious steering angle, and the Stage-D24 delivers up to an impressive 67.5 degrees.
Independent front suspension and adjustable steering links provide the front wheels with the movement required for large amounts of counter-steer, helping the car maintain big drift angles and transition smoothly between corners.
Despite its tiny dimensions, the Stage-D24 provides significant chassis adjustment.
Both the track width and wheelbase can be adjusted, giving drivers additional options for tuning handling and stance. This adjustability also opens up possibilities for fitting alternative bodies and creating custom Stage-D24 builds.
The compact rear-mounted 3-gear transmission sends power directly to the rear wheels.
A spool differential keeps both rear wheels driving together, while CVD driveshafts transfer power to the wheels. The motor is mounted to a distinctive 3mm orange anodised aluminium motor plate.
At the rear, HPI uses a compact T-bar suspension system that allows the rear chassis section to flex while keeping the drivetrain simple and lightweight.
The system also creates additional tuning possibilities. Different T-bar materials and thicknesses can be used to alter rear suspension flex and change how the chassis responds to different driving styles and track surfaces.
Rear-wheel-drive drifting at 1/24 scale would be extremely challenging without electronic assistance, so HPI equips the Stage-D24 with an integrated gyro.
The SRL-805 combines the ESC, gyro, receiver and LED controller into one compact unit, keeping the electronics installation clean while saving valuable chassis space.
Most importantly, gyro gain can be adjusted directly from the transmitter using Channel 5. This allows the driver to quickly increase or decrease gyro assistance to suit experience level, driving style and track conditions.
Power comes from a 37T MM-050 brushed motor, while an MS-01WR 6.0V 0.85kg micro steering servo handles steering duties.
A 7.4V 360mAh LiPo battery and USB balance charger are included, meaning the Stage-D24 arrives fully assembled and nearly ready to start drifting.
Available from Campbelltown Hobbies, the HPI Stage-D24 Toyota GR Supra combines authentic scale styling with a purpose-built RWD drift chassis in a package small enough to enjoy almost anywhere.
