The Biber was a small but formidable one-man submarine used by the German Kriegsmarine in the final stages of World War II. Designed for coastal defence, it carried two externally mounted torpedoes or mines. Despite technical limitations, the Kriegsmarine deployed hundreds of Bibers in a desperate attempt to counter Allied naval superiority.
