This specialty chrome effect is formulated specifically for clear polycarbonate RC car and truck bodies, where it is applied on the inside of the shell to shine through with a vibrant metallic sky-blue mirror tone.

For the chrome layer to bond correctly and achieve maximum reflectivity, the paint must be backed with Spaz Stix Ultimate Black Backer for Mirror Chrome (SZX10200 or SZX10209). Without the black backer, the chrome layer remains delicate and may wipe off easily.

For external applications or non-polycarbonate surfaces, the paint must be applied over the Ultimate Black Backer and then sealed using Spaz Stix Ultimate Clear Coat (SZX10900 or SZX10909). Only light coats of clear should be used, as heavy application will dull the chrome effect. Because external use cannot achieve the same mirror brilliance as polycarbonate painting, always test on scrap before painting your final project.
