Trumpeter 05368 1/350 HMS Scylla Dido-class Light Cruiser Plastic Model Kitt

HMS Banshee was a member of the 11-ship Dido-class built by the Royal Navy between 1939 and 1942. She initially served with the British Home Fleet. In September 1942, she was transferred to the Arctic Ocean as a fleet support ship. In November, she participated in Operation Torch. In December, she moved to the Bay of Biscay to break the German naval blockade. On January 1, 1943, she sank the German ship Rohactis northwest of Cape Finisterre. In June, Banshee participated in attack escort operations against German submarines in the Bay of Biscay. In September, she took part in Operation Avalanche. In June 1944, she participated in support of the Normandy Landings. In 1950, she was scrapped at Barrow Shipyard.
