Description
The HPI Racing Stage-D24 2024 Toyota GR Supra 1/24 RWD Drift RTR – Prominence Red brings genuine rear-wheel-drive RC drifting into an incredibly compact package. Developed from the ground up as a dedicated 1/24 scale RWD drift platform, the Stage-D24 combines serious chassis adjustability, huge steering angle, gyro assistance and an officially licensed Toyota GR Supra hardbody.
This isn't simply a miniature RC car fitted with drift tyres. The Stage-D24 chassis has been designed specifically around rear-wheel-drive drifting, using a rear-mounted 3-gear transmission, spool differential, independent front suspension and T-bar rear suspension to provide the control needed to initiate, maintain and transition drifts.
Sitting on top is a highly detailed, officially licensed 2024 Toyota GR Supra finished in Prominence Red. Rather than using a conventional lightweight polycarbonate shell, HPI uses a detailed 16-piece hardbody complete with clear windows, separate light buckets and dedicated chassis mounting components for an impressively realistic appearance.
The Stage-D24 uses a clean magnetic body mounting system, eliminating traditional body posts through the shell. The body locates onto the rear body tongue before the magnets securely position it on the chassis, making removal and refitting quick and easy.
Scale realism continues with integrated front LED headlights and rear LED tail lights. Lighting can be controlled directly from the included TF-805 transmitter, with selectable On, Off and Daylight Running modes.
For drivers who want a more aggressive appearance, additional chrome Stage-D24 drift decal sheets are included. You can leave the Supra with its clean factory-inspired appearance or customise it with your own drift-style details.
Despite its tiny dimensions, the chassis provides plenty of setup potential. Both track width and wheelbase are adjustable, while adjustable steering links allow further fine-tuning and create opportunities for alternative bodies and custom Stage-D24 builds.
Up front, the Stage-D24 provides up to 67.5 degrees of steering angle. Combined with independent front suspension and adjustable steering links, this provides the counter-steer required for large drift angles and smooth transitions.
At the rear is a compact 3-gear transmission driving a spool differential and CVD driveshafts. The 37T MM-050 brushed motor is mounted on a distinctive 3mm orange anodised aluminium motor plate.
The rear suspension uses a compact T-bar design, allowing the rear chassis section to flex while maintaining a simple and lightweight drivetrain layout. Different T-bar materials and thicknesses can be used to alter rear flex and change how the chassis responds to different driving styles and surfaces.
Helping drivers control the RWD chassis is the integrated SRL-805 ESC, gyro, receiver and LED controller. Gyro gain can be adjusted directly from the transmitter using Channel 5, allowing assistance to be quickly increased or reduced to suit the driver's experience, setup and track conditions.
The included TF-805 5-channel 2.4GHz transmitter also provides direct control over the vehicle's lighting modes.
Power comes from the 37T MM-050 brushed motor, with steering handled by an MS-01WR 6.0V 0.85kg plastic-geared micro servo. A 7.4V 360mAh LiPo battery and USB balance charger are included.
Available from Campbelltown Hobbies, the HPI Stage-D24 Toyota GR Supra Prominence Red combines detailed scale presentation with a genuine purpose-built RWD drift chassis in a package small enough to enjoy almost anywhere.
