Jay Bloss 2020 Keilor invite, Team CHR

On: 11 February 2020

2020 Keilor invitational, well what can I say this event was awesome, track layout and surface made for some great racing all weekend from all disciplines. Shelby and myself had some of the best racing we have ever had, the young lady has got me on raw speed but this old fella still brings the consistency when its needed, 2WD day Shelby made the A main qualifying 10th sadly with a DNF in the final on lap 1 due to a bad connection with the negative battery terminal, not a happy girl, I qualified 8th and had a reasonable drive with a few errors to finish up in 6th all in all the B6.1d's were locked to the track, A reset for Day 2 of racing 4WD brought some better results, with 2 1/2 months off from her 4WD Shelby brought a different driver on Sunday, new track conditions suited her style and loving the B74 made her feel at home, We both made the A main again just with Shelby qualified in 10th and I in 9th we both ran very smart races and had the best wheel to wheel battle we as father and daughter have ever had, once again her speed I could not match but a couple of traction rolls kept me on her tail, after a 5 lap battle a traction roll gave me the pass and I kept it smooth to the finish, Shelby finished in 5th and myself a podium in 3rd. Probably the best racing weekend as father and daughter we have ever had. A great start to the season and can't wait for what the year brings.
Could not do what we do without our team at Campbelltown hobbies, Thank you to Michael for his ongoing support and congrats to the team on having a team driver on the podium in all but one discipline.
2WD and 4WD buggies ran JC elipses on drive tyre's all day and we ran rips on 2WD fronts.
