Developed by the engineers at Associated Electrics' Area 51, the RC8T4.2 has been refined to deliver improved durability, greater adjustability and even faster lap times for serious racers.

The RC8T4.2 introduces a host of race-focused improvements including new height-adjustable front and rear gearboxes, redesigned suspension arms, updated shock towers, 16° KPI steering blocks with revised bump steer geometry, and a high-volume centre differential for improved handling across a wide range of track conditions. A new rear anti-roll bar with wider mounting points further enhances rear grip and consistency through rough sections.

The competition chassis has also been updated with a -4mm hard-anodised aluminium chassis, improved chassis bracing options, a new moulded top plate and premium Factory Team components throughout. High-quality features including 40/9 ring and pinion gear sets, 131mm universal driveshafts, 17mm outdrives, 19mm and 20mm HTC internal differential gear sets, and both bladder and emulsion shock seal options allow racers to fine-tune the truck for virtually any racing surface.
